Who is Capella?
Simon is the owner of Capella Studio Moorabbin.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Simon Shiff is a lifestyle and commercial photographer with more than 13 years of experience behind the camera. At, 31 years old, Simon has carved out a respected career in the creative industry, known for his precision, professionalism, and ability to deliver consistently high-quality results.
His fascination with light and his relentless attention to detail are evident both in his own photography and in the way he has curated the studio to be practical, flexible, and inspiring.
Outside of photography, Simon is a new dad, a proud collector of classic BMWs, and someone who thrives on projects that demand precision and passion. His obsessive tendencies, far from being a flaw, fuel his pursuit of perfection, whether he’s shaping the perfect beam of light, refining a set, or restoring a vintage car.
At the heart of Simon’s work is an appreciation for detail, design, and human connection. Through both his images and his studio, he continues to contribute to Melbourne’s creative industry, providing not only compelling photography but also a space where ideas and stories come to life.
